CD Replication Materials and Process: Our pressed discs have a polycarbonate layer into which tiny depressions, referred to as 'pits' or 'data tracks', are pressed down by a precision stamping process during manufacturing. These pits contain the information, or data, that is unique to that specific disc as specified by the client. Once the layer has been created, the polycarbonate is coated with a very thin layer of aluminum. This layer makes the CD reflective, so that the laser in the CD player can read it. The aluminum layer is then coated with a durable clear coat to protect the disc from oil, dirt, dust, and other particles that could harm it. At this point the CD is ready for use. When one of the discs is placed into a CD player, a laser scans the disc and converts the pattern of scanned pits into information or music. After all layers are complete, the disc goes through a rigorous quality control procedure. This testing makes sure that the disc meets the exceptional high standards set forth by the industry.
CD Artwork, Packaging, and Fulfillment: Once the discs have been pressed, layered, and tested, artwork is then silk-screened to the top side of the disc, which is the non-readable side of the CD. Then we use high quality printing techniques to make each disc look attractive and easily identifiable. Once the artwork has been applied, final preparations are made for packaging and/or shipment and delivery of the discs to the client. We will maintains the highest level of quality control throughout each step of the CD replication and manufacturing process while maintaining fast turnaround times and competitive pricing.
Short-Run Duplication Services: Duplication is a process that burns content onto recordable media (Cd-R). CD Duplication is ideal for quick turns on low volume projects. Typical Duplication run quantities are 500 pieces and below, but are not limited. Typically your duplicated discs are printed on by our Thermal Printers, again ideal for smaller duplication projects. Your product is burned and printed quickly and efficiently every time.
CD Duplication differs from CD Replication in the sense that Duplication burns the master’s content on to the recordable media vs. Replication that molds the disc and stamps the master’s content onto the CD or DVD. We use ONLY the highest quality material during our Duplication process, as we do in all of our processes. From the highest quality CD-Rs, to the top of the line duplication equipment. Paired with our packaging and shipping options, we can do it all for you! |

Digipaks typically consist of a gatefold (book-style) paperboard or card stock outer binding, with one or more plastic trays capable of holding a CD attached to the inside. |
|
|
Jewel Case - Standard and Slim: |
A jewel CD case is a three-piece plastic case, which usually contains a compact disc along with the liner notes and a back card. Two opposing transparent halves are hinged together to form the casing, the back half holding a media tray that grips the disc by its hole. All three parts are made of injection-molded polystyrene. |

The Wallet is an eco-friendly CD packaging concept. Central to this packaging concept is an emphasis upon the use of FSC accredited cardboard, including the replacement of the traditional plastic tray used in jewel cases and digipaks. The use of FSC accredited stock means that the card used comes from responsibly managed forests. |

The cardboard sleeve allows for cost effective full color printing with the convenience of a paper sleeve. Less bulky than a Jewelcase, cardboard sleeves make a good solution for high impact products requiring a smaller footprint. |
|
|
CD Paper or Tvyek Sleeve: |
The simplest package is a paper envelope. Versions can add a transparent window to the envelope allowing the disc label to be seen. The envelope can also be made out of spunbonded polyethylene (trade-named Tyvek). This is both more durable and less abrasive than paper. Comes in a wide variety of colors. |

TAGES™ is a new breed of CD/DVD-ROM copy protection that overcomes the inadequacies of the commonly marketed solutions. With TAGES™, the software community takes a great leap forward against piracy by offering several technical breakthroughs. The main technical asset is the specific mastering process that builds up a programmable "secure area" on the disc. The secured area is used to protect useful application data sets or encryption keys.
TAGES™ secure area concept permits the protection of independent application data sets of the code. By doing so, TAGES™ makes the protection of the executable component or of interactive content straightforward. For developers, the concept is extremely powerful and easy to put in practice: secure specific data that cannot be reproduced on a recordable media. |
